WAYCROSS — Mr. Bill Quirk, 81, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Hospice House Satilla, following an extended illness.

He was born in Orlando, Fla., to the late Thomas Lee Quirk and Annie Mae Quirk. He spent most of his career in the timber ind ustry, working with Champion International as a procurement manager, and later worked as a consultant with DuPont Lumber Yard in Homerville. Quirk was also a member of Bridge Church in Blackshear.

He is survived by his wife, Reba Quirk of Waycross; two daughters, Rebecca Bennett of Jacksonville, Fla., and Debra Johnson (Sammy) of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; a son, Thomas Wade Quirk (Kelli); nine grandchildren, Seth Willyoung (Rachel), Madison Strickland (Zach), Drew Bennett, Emma Johnson, Eli Johnson, Ethan Johnson, Kayli Fletcher (Clay), Will Quirk (Isabell), and Bailey Quirk; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 5 at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. The family will begin receiving friends at 10 a.m. at the funeral home Thursday. Quirk’s wishes were to be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Satilla, 808 Evergreen Way, Waycross, 31501.
