Ware BOE meets Monday, Tuesday The Ware County Board of Education holds its regular monthly meetings Monday-Tuesday, March 9-10.

A work session is Monday followed Tuesday by the business meeting. Both forums are open to the public at 6 p.m. in the board office, 1301 Bailey Street.

Tuesday night’s meeting will be live-streamed at www.ware.k12.ga.us, and click menu, and select Board of Education Meeting Livestreams.

The meeting agenda is posted prior to the meeting, and the minutes are posted as well, on the system web page at www.ware.k12.ga.us under the District and e-Board links.

Elections board alters meeting day The Ware County Board of Elections and Registration has rescheduled its next monthly meeting to 10 a.m., Monday, March 9, Supervisor of Elections Carlos Nelson said.

The public session will be held in the Ware County Administration Building, 305 Oak Street.

Diabetes group meets Saturday The Talki Foundation’s monthly support group 912 Diabetes Initiative for people with diabetes and their caregivers holds meetings the first Saturday of each month.

The support group will meet at 11 a.m., in the Memorial Satilla Health Annex Classroom, 1800 Alice Street. Remaining dates for the first half of the year are March 7, April 4, May 2 and June 6.

The group provides educational resources. Call (844) 630-5295 to register.

Senior Dance set at Trembling Earth The Ware County Recreation Department will host a Senior Dance from 7 to 10 p.m., Saturday, March 14 at the Trembling Earth Complex gym, 2109 Cecil Brown Drive.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. Admission is $7 per person. DJ Fred Hand will be playing the oldies. There will be refreshments and door prizes., Call (912) 287-4488.

Monthly dumpster at E.E. Moore Park Residents from anywhere in the city may deposit household items through Friday afternoon, March 6 at E.E. Moore Park’s 906 Tommie Kennedy Circle.

Any household items will be accepted. Prohibited items are hazardous materials, tires, construction materials and paint cans.
