First Church of the Nazarene, 2505 Alice Street will hold a revival revival Sunday-Tuesday, March 15-17.
There will be two services Sunday, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., with a meal to follow each session.
Programs Monday-Tuesday will be at 6 p.m. Chris Padgett is church pastor.
Evangelist LaMorris Crawford will lead the revival services. Crawford is a native of Chicago who lives now with his wife, Megan, and four children in Greenville, S.C.
He holds two degrees topped by a Masters in organizational leadership from Olivet Nazarene College. Crawford was the first in his family to attend college.
For the past 10 years, he has worked with professional athletes. Crawford served as the team chaplain for the Cincinnati Bengals for eight years, and now is in that capacity for the Carolina Panthers.
Born on the south side of Chicago, Crawford was only 10 months old when his mother was shot to death at 17. He doesn’t know who his father is.
Growing up without any parental support in poverty and a city of violence, LaMorris said he found his path of survival through the gangs, drugs and violence of the streets with basketball.
