Ware County’s basketball programs were well represented on the all-Region 1-AAAA basketball teams with a combined five First Team selections, four Second Team, one honorable mention and a Coach of the Year honor.
Third-year Gators’ head coach Lenny Williams was tabbed the Boys’ Coach of the Year after leading his club to the regular season title and championship crown capping a 24-3 year.
Wayne County’s Dwayne Smith was named the Player of the Year in voting by the coaches.
Representing the Gators with First Team honors were Davion Jones, Masiyer McKoy and Kevin Ramsey. Also selected were Benedictine’s Ca’Ron Hall, Gavyn Williams and Tyler Harris of Warner Robins, and Wayne County’s Ralph Doomes.
Named as Second Team members for the Gators were Isaiah White and Elan Jones. The others selected were Kyree Richards of Benedictine, New Hampstead’s Tristan Hines, Wayne County’s M.J. Moore, and Tristan Warren and Rykeem Ashley of Warner Robins.
On the girls’ side, Janelle Turner of Warner Robins received Player of the Year honors. Teammate Kennedy Bradshaw was recognized as the Offensive Player of the Year.
Wayne County’s Jakeliah Fullmore received Defensive Player of the Year recognition. Coach of the Year went to Rebcca Ivory of Warner Robins with her squad capturing the regular season title and the hoisting the championship trophy.
The Lady Gators’ Bailey Denton and Bre’yonna Hill were named to the First Team. They are joined by Laila Howard-Henry of Warner Robins, Wayne County’s Mimi Everett and Perry’s Kampbell Mitchell.
Ware County’s Second Team selections included A’Treasure White. Also tabbed were Perry’s Cameryn McKenzie and Alicia Nails, Wayne County’s Alyssa Robinson, and the Warner Robins’ duo of Joseclyn Casanova and Madyson Jones.










The Lady Gators’ Nevaeh Norton was one of five receiving honorable mention. The other four were Perry’s Rhazyiah Oliver and Allie Dean, Wayne County’s Destiney Rooks and Syrah Mace of Warner Robins.
