ALMA — Brantley County’s 8-U Lady Herons will compete for a state title after overpowering Bacon County to win the District II title here Saturday inside the Bacon County Recreation Department gym.
Brantley County posted a 32-3 victory over the Red Raiders’ youth team February 21. That followed a 27-12 victory over Pierce County.
The Lady Herons travel to up to Blairsville to play in the Class C finals being hosted by the White County Recreation Department at the at the Yonah Preserve Recreation Center.
Brantley County will play the District IV runner-up in the first round at 7:15 p.m, Friday, March 6 on Court 2.
The two-day tournament concludes Saturday, March 7 with the championship.
