WAYNESVILLE – Marie Annette Doak Minter, 56 of Waynesville, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at her residence after a brief illness.
Born in Muscatine, Iowa, Mrs. Minter’s parents were John Elsworth Doak and Linda Doak. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, John Doak and Paul Doak.
Mrs. Minter was a deli manager for Satilla Grocery and enjoyed crocheting and playing her Xbox. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, who where her whole heart.
Survivors include her husband, Jason Minter of Waynesville; four daughters and sons-in-law, Hannah Clay (Kermit) of Brunswick, Heather Sapp (Aaron) of Hortense, Tiffany Morgan of Waynesville and Jinnie Goodman (Mike) of Brunswick; six grandchildren, Marinna Scott, Hallie Scott, Trinity Simmons, Destiny Morgan, Grace Sapp and Leah Morgan; three brothers, Robert Doak of Brunswick, Kevin Doak of Kingsland and Eric Doak of Fla.; three sisters, Laurie Keele of Anderson Island, Wash., Betsy Campagnola of Colorado and Penny Robicheaux of Broussard, La.; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
