Pierce County High School’s 4-Person Forestry Team placed first at the Rocky Bend 4 Person Forestry contest held recently in Newton. Members of the team must compete in timber cruising, compass and pacing, timber stand improvements and tree identification. The four scores are then accumulated to determine team placing. Shown above are Riley Thomas: 2nd Place overall individual, Coleman Lee: 10th Place overall individual, Sam Chesser: 1st Place overall individual and Bayne Taylor-: 8th Place overall individual. Easton Kimmons (not pictured) was the third place overall individual in the Junior Division.
