CARRIERE, Miss. — Sandra Lee Sons Campbell, 78, passed away Thursday January 29, 2026, at her home in Carriere, Mississippi.
Mrs. Campbell spent the last five years with her sister, Debbie Whittaker (Steve) in Nahunta. She wanted to go back to Mississippi with her son.
Born in New Orleans, La., Mrs. Campbell was the daughter of Ruth Trahan Sons and Frank Anthony Sons.
Mrs. Campbell was a loving wife to the late William Campbell. She was also preceded in death by her son, William Anthony Campbell of Mississippi. Mrs. Campbell has numerous grandchildren. She grew up with four sisters, Barbara LeCompte, Linda Hamilton, Diane Ressler and Debbie Whittaker.
Mrs. Campbell was a member of Twin Rivers Baptist Church. She loved her Sunday School Class, all her church members, and enjoyed going to the Senior Center in Nahunta.
She liked playing bingo and socializing with everybody at the Senior Center and with her special friend, Judy Blankenship.
Mrs. Campbell was cremated and her ashes were given to her son.
