Times News Editor Jason Deal was recently presented with the Bronze America 250 medal by the Altamaha Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution at the chapter’s recent quarterly meeting held at the Family Traditions Restaurant in Jesup. The America 250 medals honors the United States’ 250th anniversary this year and recognizes Deal’s oustanding support for the SAR. He is the current chapter secretary-treasurer and a past president of the Altamaha Chapter, SAR. Deal is shown receiving a certificate from Judge Franklin Rozier Jr., president of the Altamaha Chapter, SAR. The SAR is a men’s patriotic, fraternal organization made up of descendants of patriots who served in the American Revolution.
