Tryouts for new flag line members (grades 9-12) at Pierce County High School will be a little different this year because of COVID-19. Girls who are interested need to go to to learn the 11 basic skills.  Once the basic skills have been learned, girls will need to watch another video that has the actual tryout routine based upon the 11 basics skills they have practiced. Only a routine video needs to be turned in. A basics video does not need to be turned in.

Those applying are asked to save the video to Google Drive and then forward the video to Colorguard director Lori Nystrom at Routine videos need to be turned in by Thursday, June 18, along with the flag/pole to be considered to be on the PCHS Flag Line.

Flags may be checked out with the receptionist at the main office of PCHS during summer hours Monday – Thursday 9 a.m.-3 p.m.  Be sure to sign the clipboard with name and a phone number. Only 2-5 girls will be selected. Potential flag line members must also be able to attend all of guard camp,  from noon-5:30 p.m. July 20-24 and all of band camp from 6 a.m.-1 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. July 27-31 to be considered.
