The 14th Annual Fore the Family Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, Sept. 18 at Lakeview Golf Course in Blackshear. Sponsors and participants will take to the fairways to invest in individuals and families of this community.

The four-man scramble golf tournament will be held at Lakeview Golf Course, 510 Golf Course Rd., Blackshear.  The tournament will feature breakfast at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Lunch and awards program will be at 12:30 p.m.

Cord of Three Counseling Services has sponsored the tournament since 2007.

The Fore the Family Golf Tournament has made a significant impact in supporting the counseling services offered to our communities. The public is welcome to join supporters and donors who gather to support Cord of Three for a day of golf and fellowship.

The Cord of Three 2021 Fore the Family Golf Tournament helps families, youths and individuals who are living with brokenness to receive the emotional and spiritual help they need. All proceeds from this tournament are used to help Cord of Three in our mission of strengthening families.

The families served at Cord of Three receive counseling for many different reasons. Some receive marriage counseling, others help with a rebellious child, others are wrestling with some trauma of the past.  Regardless of why they come, Cord of Three helps them navigate through whatever crisis they may be facing. The organization relies on the commitment and investment of donors — through time and finances — to change lives.

“Cord of Three is a wonderful Christian counseling service that is thoughtful, patient, and kind. They have therapists that are knowledgeable in not only the secular world, but in the Christian worldview. The staff at Cord of Three will stand by your side as you go through this journey that God has placed you on,” said a recent client.

“We are committed to serving hurting individuals and families in our area, no matter the cost, and golfers who participate help make what we do possible,” said Clay Gill, Cord of Three Executive Director. “Our desire is to provide Christ-centered services that protect and preserve the God ordained institution of the family.”
