Editor, The Times:
I am writing about your front page story “Service with a Smile” in the June 9 edition. This is Charlene Nunn for sure.
I remember the first time I walked in Rite Aid right after we moved up here from Jacksonville, Fla., in 2006.
I met Charlene and told her that we had just moved here and she welcomed me with her warm, sweet smile.
After that day, I looked forward to talking with her each time I shopped at Rite Aid. And she was always so helpful.
And just recently, she found out that I loved “Elsie the Borden Cow” and she had a poster made for me, frame and all. I will cherish that always.
I only wish I had known that she was retiring and when her last day was, I would have come by and said goodbye.
“Charlene, I wish you well and many happy retirement years. Love you and God Bless you and your family.”
