Editor, The Times,

I moved to Blackshear several years ago from Florida and it became automatic for me to pick up the local habit to wish friends, family and everyone, “Have a Blessed Day / Weekend”. It occurs to me that wishing anyone a short time blessing is not enough. Why just a day or weekend? I have expanded my thinking and I encourage others to do so. “Have a Blessed Life!” rolls off my tongue a lot easier. When I explain my change to unending Blessings I usually get, “You have a Blessed life too!” My response is automatic, “I already have!”. These are very trying times and I find changing that simple phrase leaves me and sometimes even total strangers I encounter, feeling just a little bit better. See if it works for you. “Have a Blessed Life!”
