Wilma Darlene McReady Cartwright Tillman

Wilma Darlene McReady Cartwright Tillman, 60, of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday morning, November 17, 2020, at her residence, following a sudden illness.

Born in Jesup February 29, 1960, she had lived in Pierce County most of her life. She was a housewife and was a member of New Life Assembly of God. She dearly loved her church family and going to church which she had really missed due to COVID.  She loved meeting people and looked forward to getting in the tanning bed every week.

She was a daughter of the late Mary Caroline Tatum Pierce and George William McReady. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Elisha Thomas Cartwright.

Survivors include her siblings, Donna Kaye (Stacey) Morgan, Jacksonville, William Donald McReady, Hinesville, Carlton Mackey (Tonya) McReady and James Franklin Head, all of Screven; her former husband, Kenneth Tillman, Blackshear; her sister and brother-in-law, Ernestine and Sylvester Scurry, Blackshear and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will have a private visitation.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, from the Blackshear Cemetery with Pastor Andy Peacock officiating.
