William Jake Neugent, 35, of Patterson, died Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at his residence, after a sudden illness.
He was born in Waycross and attended Ware County Schools. He lived in Waycross until 2010 when he moved to Patterson. He worked for Asplundh Tree Service before becoming disabled. He attended Gilchrist Park United Methodist Church. He loved hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers and buggies, but most of all he loved playing video games with his son, Kayden.
He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Vincent Neugent; maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Eva Mae Rountree; paternal grandparents, Talmadge William and Helen Jean Robinson Neugent and one uncle, Gary Rountree.
Survivors include two children, Anslee Neugent and Kayden Neugent, both of Pierce County; his mother, Meria Roundtree Neugent, Waycross; one brother, Vince Neugent, Palm Coast, FL; three aunts, Amanda Saunders, Debbie Taylor, and Lisa Roberson, all of Waycross; his former wife and mother of his children, Mandi Neugent, Pierce County and several cousins, great-aunts, great-uncles and other relatives.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 11, from the Kettle Creek Cemetery in Waycross.
