Wanda Louise Dean Boyette

Wanda Louise Dean Boyette, 67, of Waycross, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 15, 2020, at the Orange Park Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL, following an extended illness.

Born September 21, 1952 in Waycross, she was a daughter of the late Peter Clarence and Grace Louise Thrift Dean. She lived most of her life in Ware and Pierce Counties and was a 1970 graduate of Waycross High School. She received a degree in respiratory therapy from the California State College and was retired as a respiratory therapist from Memorial Hospital (now Memorial Satilla Health) in Waycross. She was a member of New Life Assembly of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Paulk and two brothers, Edward Dean and Claude Dean.

Survivors include her husband, William Spencer Boyette, Patterson; two children, Phillip Morris (Amanda Hood), Waycross and Misty Smith (husband Derrick), Blackshear; eight grandchildren, Austin Morris,  Braden Morris, Christina Hood, Maia Beverly and Madison Fisher, all of Waycross, and Matt, Kearston and Jaxon Smith, all of Blackshear; a sister, Peggy White, Waycross; two brothers,  Junior Dean (wife Wanda) and Roger Dean, both of Waycross; a sister-in-law, Madge Dean, Waycross and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, from the New Life Assembly of God with the Rev. Andy Peacock officiating.  

Interment will follow in the Kettle Creek Cemetery in Waycross.
