Virginia Louise Clark Hickox, 73, of Patterson, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House.

Born in Indianapolis, IN on August 10, 1946, she had lived in Pierce County most of her adult life. She was retired from the Pierce County Board of Education where she had been a teacher’s aide. She loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and enjoyed cooking for her family as well as sewing. She always had a smile on her face and loved to play practical jokes on people. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Harold and Helen Margret Sims Clark.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Clark.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Hickox, Patterson; her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Brent Jacobs, Waycross; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Julie Parrott and Bobby and Shei Smith, all of Blackshear; a step-son, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Hickox, Douglas; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Jean Clark, Indianapolis, IN; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, from the Laura Chapel Baptist Church.

Interment will be in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.
