Virgil Selph, 72, died Monday morning, February 24, 2020, at Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park, FL.

He was born in Jeff Davis County to the late J. H. and Earl Burta Selph, but he graduated from Waycross High School in 1966. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army and a member of Waycross Primitive Baptist Church. He retired from CSX Railroad as tool director in 1999 after 27 years of service.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Judy Louise Cramer Selph, Patterson; one son, Joseph Leon Selph (Adriana Vanegas), Hinesville; one daughter, Sherri Miller (Brandan), Brunswick; eight grandchildren, Savannah Sheppard, Brittney Bennett, Jacob Selph, Chelsea Hendrix (Devon), Dakota Miller, Chandler Miller, Chayse Miller and Evan Miller; three great-grandchildren, Gabriel Hulme, Cadence Hendrix and Cambree Hendrix; one brother, Bob Selph (Rita), Blackshear; one sister, Laverne Matthews, Waycross; one step-brother, Jesse Booth, Homerville and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 from the Waycross Primitive Baptist Church.
