Verdell Fuller, 71, of Lawrenceville, formerly of Mershon, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020. 

She attended and graduated from Lee Street High School in Blackshear. She was a member of the Evergreen Church in Bristol, where she sang in the choir and she loved to sing solos.

She had a passion for working in the medical field and quickly found employment at Memorial Hospital in Waycross, where she worked for many years. After leaving the hospital, she became a house mom. Her hobbies included watching various TV programs, planting pretty flowers and spending quality time with her grands.

 She met and married Bailey Fuller February 10, 1968 and to this union three children were born.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bailey Fuller; two brothers, Bobby Lee and James Cledis; one sister, Mary Tarber and several nephews.

She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories, one son, Herman Bailey Fuller, Mershon; two daughters, Donna Fuller, Mershon and Christy Fuller, Atlanta; four grandchildren, Kailey, Joshua and Zackury Fuller and Jay McDonald; several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Billie (Franklin) Batten, Alma, Laverne Wright and Gwendolyn Williams; seven brothers, Lewis Godwin, Jackie Godwin, Leon Godwin, Javon Godwin and Kenny Godwin, all of Waycross, William Junior Godwin, Blackshear and Keith Godwin, Virginia; sisters-in-law, Viola Fuller, Alma, Christine Fuller, Mershon and Evon Fuller, Alma; brothers-in-law, Robert (Joan) Fuller, Jacksonville, FL Jerry (Billie) Fuller, Baxley and Claude (Hattie) Fuller, Alma  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, January 31, at Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 522 Lee Street, Blackshear.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 1, from the Evergreen Church Ministry.

Interment will follow in the Screven City Cemetery.
