Samuel Chad Herrin

Samuel Chad Herrin, 38, of Patterson, passed away Wednesday evening, September 22, 2021, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup following an extended illness.

Born July 3, 1983 in Blackshear, he was a lifelong resident of Pierce County and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include  his wife, Felicia Herrin, Patterson; four children, Dalton Lane Herrin of Parris Island, S.C., Abbie Brianna Herrin, Cookeville, TN, Ashton Griffin Herrin, Blackshear and Kai Parker Herrin, Patterson; a grandson, Lavon Tayven Jones, Cookeville, TN; his mother and step-father, Teraina and Jerrid Ragsdale, Patterson; his father, Samuel Herrin of Blackshear; siblings, Janice Marie Strickland (husband Joseph) of Blackshear, Elizabeth Pauline Herrin, Patterson, Ronnie Cleveland Herrin, Blackshear, Dana Lynn Flowers (husband Tom), Perry, Jessica Rene Lutke (husband John), Meansville, Jason Lex Ragsdale (wife Haley), Blackshear and James Lee Keene (wife Keisha), Nashville and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 26, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, from the chapel of Hart Funeral Home with the Rev. James Lightsey officiating.  

Interment will follow in Waters Cemetery.
