Russell Christopher ‘Differ’ Leggett Jr.

Russell Christopher “Differ” Leggett Jr., 30, of Idyllwild, CA, formerly of Blackshear, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021, in Riverside, CA.

He was born in Waycross, January 17, 1991. He was a 2009 graduate of Pierce County High School. He was currently working in Idyllwild, CA where he had been a resident since 2017. He was a loving son, brother, grandson and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was a maternal grandson of the late Lanny and Dot Raulerson and paternal grandson of the late Eugene and Mamie Leggett.

Survivors include his parents, Holly and Greg Belew, Blackshear and Chris and Penny Leggett, Hortense; two sisters, Hannah Belew, Blackshear and Whitney Lewis, Hortense; his brother, Kyler Lewis, Adel; his maternal grandparents, Bob and Sharon Belew, Greensboro and Dale Belew, Savannah; his paternal grandparents, Deryl and Elnita Davison, Hortense and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held  at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery.

Members of the PCHS Class of 2009 are kindly requested to serve as honorary pallbearers. They are asked to please meet at the funeral home chapel by 10:30 a.m. Friday.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at or to Allmon’s All About Animals, 2988 Midway Church Rd, Blackshear, GA 31516.

Due to COVID-19, social distancing guidelines as well as the use of facemasks are strongly encouraged.
