Roswell Maxwell ‘Rossie’ Williamson

Roswell Maxwell “Rossie” Williamson, 79, of Patterson and Fort Lauderdale, FL passed away, suddenly, following a short illness, Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Kindred Hospital and Rehabilitation.

He was born in Offerman, October 24, 1941. He lived and worked in Florida most of his life but Patterson was always home to him. He was a trim carpenter by trade for 60 years. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, golfing and being out on his farms. He enjoyed the company of his many friends in both GA and FL whether it was playing golf, lunches/dinners, or hanging at the Oak Plaza when he was in town. Most of all he loved being with his family and remained in Florida after he retired only because of them.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Laverne “Bunk” and Mary Sue Williamson; his beloved daughter, Wendi and his baby brother, Raymond.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Joseph Tufano, and his four loving grandchildren, Gabrielle and Thomas Tufano and Michael and Toni Mendoza.

A celebration of his life is being held at 4 p.m. Saturday,  March 14, at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club.

His ashes will be taken home to Patterson, where he was meant to be.
