Robert Crase, 71, of Blackshear, passed away early Saturday morning, May 11, 2019, at his residence, following an extended illness.
He was born June 23, 1947 in Damariscotta, ME. He grew up in Boston, MA and served in the U.S. Army, serving several tours in the Vietnam War. He lived many years in Dothan, AL where he was a mechanic, and then moved to Blackshear in 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George “Grump” Tisdale and Marie Mildred Fitch.
Survivors include his five children, Billy Carter (wife Debbie), Cartersville, Virgil Carter (fiancé Kim) and Robert Lee Crase (wife Laura), all of Blackhear, June Jones (husband Pat), Ashford, AL and Charles Crase (fiancé Maria), Dothan, AL; 21 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his sister, Jean Linn (husband John) of New Hampshire; two brothers, Charlie Crase (wife Chris) of North Carolina and Jimmy Tisdale of New Jersey; close family friend, Angel Quintero, Cowarts, AL and several nieces, nephews, many cousins and other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-noon Monday, May 13, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, May 13, from the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.
Private burial will follow at a later time.
