Raymond Davis, 73, of Paisley, FL, passed away Sunday evening, December 13, 2020, at his nephew’s residence in Blackshear.

Born in Albany June 29, 1947, he had moved to DeLand, FL as a child and had lived there his entire life. He had worked as a roofer (Davis Roofing) all of his life and during his younger years had enjoyed riding dirt bike, bogging and racing and race cars. An outdoorsman, he had also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved his kids and grandkids and accepted Christ while in the hospital.

He was a son of the late Robert Jim and Mattie Christeen Thornton Davis. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Helfrich, Shirley Wilson and Lois Smith; a brother, Cecil Davis and three brothers-in-law, Floyd Poff, Bob Moore and William Browning.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Wanda and Jim Appodaca, Wasco, CA and Patricia Davis, DeLand; three sisters, Mary Poff and Diane Moore, both of Blackshear and Arlene Browning, Homerville; a brother, Robert (Brenda) Davis, Newark, OH; five grandchildren, Tahachee Appodaca, Dakota Appodaca, Sierra Appodaca, Brittany Davis and Desirae Davis; a special friend, Linda Forsythe; his former wife and mother of his children, Nancy Morgan and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorialization is by cremation.
