Maxine Deal Hutto, 87, of Screven, died Saturday night, April 20, 2019, after an extended illness.
A native of Wayne County, she was a faithful and active member in her earlier years at Ritch Baptist Church and a long-time employee with King Edward Cigar Factory and Ship ‘N Shore. She enjoyed crafts and working in her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Hutto and her parents, Jasper Calvin “J.C.” and Dicie Lightsey Deal.
Survivors include three daughters, Diane Brant, Screven, Shelia (Reg) Beckham, Leesville, SC and Sharon Hunter, Raleigh, NC; a son, Danny Hutto, Screven; 11 grandchildren, David Brant, Dawn Brant-Fennell, Dana Templeton, Yancey Shuman, Daphne Little, Becky Johnson, Jessica Denton, Damian Whitley, Clint Hutto, Anzley Hutto and Allison H. Brown; 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 22, from the Lake Chapel Cemetery with Elder Jason Deal officiating.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lake Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, 328 Mikell Lake Road, Patterson, GA 31557.
