Marlene P. Chandler, 79, passed away and entered into eternal rest Friday, June 17, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Savannah.

She was born March 4, 1943 in Blackshear to the late Mr. Pleman Demory “Pete” Peacock and Magdalene Crawford Peacock.

She was a Pierce County native and long time member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She was the homemaker on the family farm who loved her family, cooking and baking, working on the family farm and socializing on the telephone.

Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Ottis R. Chandler; daughter, Kimberly (Richard) Drier; brother, the Rev. Andrew Franklin (Gloria) Peacock; two grandchildren- Tyler (Shona) Deal and Ashlea Deal; three great-grandchildren, Brianna Williams, Gracie Deal and Aurora Deal and several other relatives and close friends.

Per her wishes memorialization by cremation was chosen in lieu of funeral and burial services.

Cremation was handled by Family First Cremation Center in Savannah.

The family will have a small graveside burial at Shiloh Cemetery at a later date.
