Lester Leroy ‘Bubba’ Cole

Lester Leroy “Bubba” Cole, 73, of Blackshear, passed away Friday morning, September 13, 2019, at his residence, following an extended illness.

Born May 30, 1946 in Youngstown, OH, he was a son of the late Leroy Lester and Annabelle Jones Cole. He lived most of his life in Ohio before moving to Brunswick in 2016 and to Pierce County the following year.  He was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy in the Vietnam War and was retired as a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of the Legionnaire’s M/C in which he served as the club treasurer and a bartender.

His favorite things in life to do was loving his wife, riding his motorcycle, working in his yard and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Cole.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra "Sammiesue" Jordan, Blackshear; a step-son, Ronald Klink of Ohio; Cheryl Harry of California; his sister, Vicki Oles (husband John), Youngstown, OH; his sister-in-law, Cheryl Cole of Pennsylvania; five nephews; a niece; four great-nephews; a great-niece; his Legionnaire brothers and sisters and many other friends.

A memorial service will  be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, from the Legionnaires MC Clubhouse. The service will be followed by a last ride to Laura S. Walker State Park.
