Larry MacArthur Bagley Sr., 77, of Jacksonville, passed away early Wednesday morning, May 29, 2019 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center - Riverside.

Born in Alma, March 8, 1942, he had lived in Jacksonville most of his life. A “jack-of-all-trades”, he was the former owner/operator of Jax Automotive and had also been a truck driver, construction worker and painter as well as a mechanic.  He was an avid fisherman and could tell some fish stories – some may have been exaggerated. He loved to watch Western movies/tv shows – Dances with Wolves was his favorite — cook and bake, and throw parties for his family and friends.  He was a member of Lannie Road Baptist Church.

He was a son of the late Arthur Rowan and Hazel Wilma Knight Bagley. He was also preceded in death by a great grandson, Matthew Trout II; his sister, Shirley Powers and a brother, Curtis Bagley.

Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Thrift, Nahunta, Darlene (Rosalio) Ruiz, Cedar Rapids, IA and Angie Williams, Jacksonville; three sons, Greg Bagley, Blackshear, David (Eddie) Bagley, Pensacola, FL, and Larry Bagley Jr., Jasper, FL; a step-daughter, Charity Waters (Marvin Teston), Jacksonville; two step-sons, Lee Dishaw and Patrick Dishaw, both of Jacksonville; two brothers, Calvin Bagley (Audrey Lankford), Glen St. Mary, FL and Gary (Beverly) Bagley, Blackshear; his former wife and special friend, Debbie Bagley, Blackshear; 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
