Joshua Bennett ‘Josh’ Fulford

Joshua Bennett “Josh” Fulford, 39, of Waycross, passed away Monday evening, October 11, 2021, at his residence.

Born in Waycross October 14, 1981, he had lived in Ware and Brantley Counties all of his life. He was a 2001 graduate of Brantley County High School. In January of 2002, he had a life-changing four-wheeler accident which resulted in him having a traumatic brain injury and stroke. He was always a loving son who loved to tell jokes and make you laugh. Before his accident he loved to hunt and fish. Things changed following the accident. He still loved to fish but he was no longer able to hunt. He found joy in riding his golf cart around the neighborhood and taking the neighborhood kids for rides. His love for children would have made him a great dad and his family is so grateful for the neighborhood kids who made him so happy.

He was a grandson of the late Dennis D. Jr. and Betty Crutchfield Fulford and the late Thomas Newbern Bennett and Edna Smiley Tuttle.

Survivors include his parents, Dennis and Deborah Bennett Fulford III, Waycross; his sister and brother-in-law, Charitie and Scott Allen, Waycross; his brother, Ed Gill, Waycross; nieces and nephews, Tessa Ferguson, Sierra Ferguson, Triston Gill and Dalton Gill; great-niece and great-nephew, Kyler O’Quinn and Allie Melton; four aunts, Marleen Crawford of Florida, Linda Brewer, Waycross, Marilyn and Alex Peavey, Blackshear and Dale and Ricky Sheys, Waycross; an uncle, Jeff and Ann Fulford, Waycross; and several other relatives.
