John Randolph Edge, 58, of Blackshear, died Wednesday afternoon, March, 11, 2020, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, after a sudden illness.  

He was born in Washington D.C., but had made Waycross and Blackshear his home for all of his life. A successful entrepreneur, he owned numerous Pro-Lubes across Southeast Georgia. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waycross with his wife Tara.  He was an avid golfer and fisherman. He enjoyed taking his daily nap and loved playing foosball with his son, Tyler, and fetch with his dog, Boomer.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mary Oglesby and two brothers, Steve Cavagnaro and Ralph Cavagnaro. 

Survivors include his wife, Tara Nguyen Edge, Blackshear; four children, Joshua Allen Edge (Aubrey), Blackshear, Elisha Murrell (Mike), Kansas City, KS, Daniel Fisher, Navarre, FL and Tyler Edge, Blackshear; six grandchildren; one brother, Tim Cavagnaro (Tammy and Chau) of Waycross, one sister, Cindy McCook of Blackshear, his mother-in-law, Chue Nguyen, seven sister and brother in laws, Lisa and Andy Vu, Hien and Toan Nguyen, Nhon and Vui Tran Nguyen, Hien and Quan Nguyen, Hong and Hanh Nguyen, Hoang and Mai Nguyen, Phong and Thao Nguyen, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 13, at the funeral home.

A funeral mass of resurrection will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 14, from the  St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waycross. 

Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Waycross.
