Jesus Torres

Jesus Torres, 47, of Blackshear, passed away early Monday morning, June 10, 2019, at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, SC, following a short illness.

Born November 22, 1971 in Sombrerete, Mexico, he was a son of Maria Ines Torres-Sanchez and the late Epitacio Torres-Jamie. He was employed in the farming industry as a laborer. 

Survivors include his son, Jesse Torres, Naples, FL; his mother Maria Inez Torres  Sanchez, Blackshear; seven sisters, Maria Torres (husband Adrian), Laredo, TX, Mayra Torres (husband Jesus), Waycross, Sylvia Torres (husband Antonio), Patterson, Dora Alicia Torres (husband Carlos), Orlando, FL, Blanca Aracely Torres (husband Miguel), Blackshear, Erika Paloma Torres (husband Brandon), Blackshear and Beatriz Elena Torres (husband Mario), Blackshear; seven brothers, Roberto Torres (wife Norma), Naples, FL, Juan Saucedo-Torres (wife Arcelia) and Tomas Torres (wife Carmen), both of Patterson, Angel Torres (wife Cynthia), Naples, FL, Ruben Torres (wife Marce) and Ramiro Torres (wife Lupe), both of Bonita Springs, FL and Ismael Torres (wife Martha), San Antonio, TX and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 14, at the funeral home. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 15, from the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waycross. 

Interment will follow in Blackshear City Cemetery.
