Jeffrey Jacob ‘Jeff’ Jorishie

Jeffrey Jacob “Jeff” Jorishie, 59, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Capitol Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, FL, after a brief illness.

He was born in Fernandina Beach, FL February 16, 1962. Raised in Blackshear, he graduated from Blackshear High School in 1980 and worked in the travel industry for over 30 years, most recently for Carlson-Wagonlit Travel. Although he considered Atlanta, home for the last 20 years, he called Tallahassee, FL home in the last two years.

Those who knew him will remember his wanderlust and love for travel, and he was happiest visiting foreign destinations with friends and family. He was especially happy at his beloved Fernandina Beach and loved cruise ships around the world with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marguerite Jorishie.

Survivors include his father, Lawrence Kenneth “Ken” Jorishie, Tallahassee, FL, his brothers, Nick Jorishie, Blackshear, Andy Jorishie, Tallahassee, FL and Chris Jorishie (Stacie), Charlotte, NC; a niece Jade Williams, Blackshear, and nephews, Chase Jorishie, Charlotte, NC and Jacob Jorishie, Blackshear.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
