James Loren Howard, 81, of Metter, passed away Monday, October 19, 2020, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.

Born in Blackshear December 23, 1938, he had lived in Brunswick for several years prior to moving to Waycross where he had been a resident of The White House. He had just recently moved to Metter. He was disabled but had found a true love for arts and crafts including drawing for which he had been very good at. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was a son of the late James Woodrow and Murriel Geneva Henderson Howard. 

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Virginia “Ginger” and Adam Smith, Ludowici; his son and daughter-in-law, James and Michelle Howard, Dayton, TN; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 23, from the Shiloh Cemetery.
