James L. “Jimmy” Youmans, 72, of Blackshear, passed away Thursday morning, December 10, 2020, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, following an extended illness.

Born September 22, 1948, he was a son of the late Ander Eugene Youmans and Susie Oglesby Youmans Thornton.  He had lived all of his life in Pierce County and was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father who raised him, Joe Thornton and three brothers, Randall Youmans, Andy Youmans and Tommy Youmans.

Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Wanda Youmans, Blackshear; his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Danny Holloway, Blackshear and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, at the graveside at Waters Cemetery.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, from the Waters Cemetery.
