James “Donell” McGauley Jr., 56, of Blackshear, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross.
He was born November 30, 1963 in Waycross to James Sr. and Annette McGauley.
He attended and received his education from the Pierce County School System. He met and married his high school sweetheart, Pamela Moody, November 2, 1984. His hobbies included attending classic car shows, motorcycles and grilling food for his family and friends. He was a brick mason by trade for over 35 years and was formerly employed with the City of Waycross until his health declined.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Annette McGauley; grandparents, Frances Chance Brickle, Aaron Brickle and Mae Frances Ruth Brickle, Jacob Wesley McGauley and Nellie Mae Ladler McGauley; father-in-law, Clifford Moody, Sr. and mother-in-law, Lelia Baldwin Moody.
Left to cherish his precious memories are his loving and devoted number one wife of 35 years, Pamela Moody McGauley; his loving daughters, Anteria “Nicole” McGauley, Orlando, FL and Tiffany McGauley, Arlington, TX; his father, James McGauley Sr.; siblings, Pastor Renae (Pastor Samuel) Sellers, Elder Steven Terrell (Evangelist Sophia) McGauley and Delano “Dee” Mobley; sisters-in-law, Sharon Moody, Blackshear, Charlene Jackson of Ohio and Dorothy (Napoleon) Davis, Miami, FL; brothers-in-law, Anthony Moody, Stanley Moody, Greg Moody and Jeffery (Amanda) Moody, all of Blackshear, Walter (Lora) Moody, Waycross and Clifford Johnson of Ohio; a special niece, Andrea Toombs; a special nephew, MaKell Moody; a special mother, Carolyn Davis; special daughters, Shavonna Harris, Michelle Brown, Jasmine Batton, Paige Gibbs, Shayla Lewis, Tempest Ray and Michelle Yohn; special sons, George Crawford and Brandon Brown and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, at the funeral home, 505 Ware Street, Blackshear.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, from the Community Holiness Church, 822 Blackwell Street, Waycross. Apostle Bobby Orange will be the eulogist.
Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Ware County.
