Henrietta Jones Williams, 72, of 210 Lantana Court, Brunswick, formerly of Blackshear, departed this life peacefully and ascended to heaven Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick.  

 She is the daughter of Pearlie Taylor and the late Henry Jones of Blackshear.  She was born August 16, 1946. 

She was affectionately known as Mema. She retired from Carter’s Fried Chicken in Blackshear in 2005.

She leaves to cherish her passing two daughters, Lorita and Vita Oliver; her mother, Pearlie Taylor; a brother, Carl Mackey (Jennifer); three grandchildren, Ariyan Williams, Marie Tyson and Cory Oliver; three great-grandchildren, Louis Tyson, Ky’mani Tyson, Jahzaria Tyson; step-children, James Williams, Larry Williams, Jack Williams, Jakie Williams, Brenda Murchinson and Lawanda Thomas; a loving uncle, Theodore Mackey; an aunt, Jackoline Blakely and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and loving friends.

The family is receiving friends at the home of her mother, Pearlie Taylor, 157 S. Hendry Street, Blackshear.  

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, at the funeral home, 505 Ware Street, Blackshear.  

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, from the Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church. 

Rainge Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Blackshear is in charge of arrangements.
