Glenn E. Russell, 62, of Blackshear Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020.
He dedicated his life to the service of his country. He enlisted in the United States Army at age 17 and served for 21 years earning numerous awards and honors. After retiring from military service, he continued to serve his country as an instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.
All who knew him will immediately remember his infectious smile that could light up an entire room. He was an avid animal lover and greatly enjoyed caring for his many animals. When not taking care of his small farm, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, sitting by the fire, and spending time with his five daughters.
Survivors include his children, Hope Pennycoff, Nichole Veatch, Sara Baker, Kayli Russell and Kelsey Russell and his grandchildren, Cody Confair, Colby Watkins, Kasey Veatch and Leni Veatch.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to South Georgia Equine Rescue.
The family will have a celebration of his life at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11 at the American Legion in Blackshear.
