Earnest Donald “Donnie” Tippins Jr., 65, of Blackshear, passed away Monday, March 9, 2020, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross.

Born in Blackshear, December 4, 1954, he had lived in Pierce County all of his life.  He had served in the US Army for 13 years and had been stationed in Germany and the U.S. He was a millwright with Champion Plywood until his health forced him to retire. Always the life of the party, he loved to have a good time. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He was a Southern Baptist.

He was the son of the late Ernest Donald Tippins Sr.  

Survivors include his three sons, Chris (Taria) Tippins, Valdosta and Chance (Samoline) Tippins and  Tyler Tippins, all of Waycross; his mother, Jean McHan Tippins, Blackshear; three sisters, Margie (John) Cason, Blackshear, Ann (Randy) Clark, Pigeon Forge, TN and Marie Whitley of Blackshear; a brother, Lamar (Shirley) Tippins, Patterson; his granddaughter, Madison Tippins and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will have a celebration of life service at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at 602 Brunel St., Waycross.

Memorialization is by cremation.
