Donald Edward Devereaux Jr., 63, of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at his residence.

Born in Baxley, July 31, 1956, he had lived in Pierce County most of his life. He had been a mechanic for the former Bowen Dairy before becoming disabled. He loved to fish and was of the Pentecostal faith. 

He was the son of the late Donald Edward Devereaux Sr. and Juanita Mae Copeland Courson.

Survivors include his son, Donald Edward “Tater” Devereaux III of Texas; two uncles, Johnnie Copeland and Jerry Copeland, both of Baxley; his goddaughter, Annie Perritt, Blackshear; special friends, Karen McCarthy, Timmy Lucas, Judy Lucas and Troy Lucas, all of Waycross and Randy Reddish and Terry Lucas both of Blackshear and several other relatives.

Interment will be at the Red Oak Cemetery near Baxley at a later date.

Memorialization is by cremation.
