Dennis Michael ‘Mickey’ Anderson

Dennis Michael “Mickey” Anderson, 65, of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Blackshear June 23, 1955, he had lived in Pierce County most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran and had worked in all areas of construction most of his life. He loved to fish and was a member of Living River Church of God.

He was a son of the late Russell Walter and Doris Faye Crews Anderson. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Moody and Sonya Thomas and both of his brothers, Randy Anderson and Danny Ray Anderson.

Survivors include his step-daughter, Reesa (Edward) Cady, Waycross; his sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Johnny Dixon, Waycross; his sister-in-law, Kathy Anderson, Patterson; two grandchildren, Clay Harrison and Chase Harrison and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 26, from the Shiloh Cemetery.

Due to COVID-19, the family kindly requests that all in attendance practice social distancing and wear facemasks.  Hand sanitizer will also be provided.
