Curtis Neil Howard, 63, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday morning, December 29, 2019, at his residence, following a sudden illness.

Born in Waycross September 16, 1956, he had lived in Ware and Pierce Counties all of his life. He was a 1976 graduate of Waycross High School and had worked as a painter for most of his life. He loved watching sports, especially the Georgia Bulldogs. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was a son of the late Dorothy Hail Howard. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorinda Strickland and a brother, Linton Howard Jr.

Survivors include his father, Linton Howard Sr., Blackshear; his sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Robert Dixon, Waycross; a niece, Barbara Dixon, Waycross; three nephews, Raymond (Kisha) Howard, Thompsonville, IL, Hunter Strickland, Waycross and Walker Howard, Brunswick; his three great-nieces, Sarabeth, Abbygale and Peyton and several other relatives.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31. at the funeral home. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, from the  Pearson-Dial Chapel.

Memorialization is by cremation.
