Charles Michael Jones

Charles Michael Jones, 50, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Memorial Satilla Health Systems in Waycross.

Born in Tallahassee, FL June 15, 1971, he had lived in Pierce County since 1978.  he was a 1989 graduate of Pierce County High School and was a carman for CSX Transportation.  A true “southern boy”, he loved fishing, buggy riding, going to the river and tubing on the lake. He was a movie buff and loved sports (basketball and baseball) especially watching the Georgia Bulldogs play football. He was a member of Ware Baptist Church but attended Calvary Baptist Church in Lake Park.

He was preceded in death a daughter, Michelle Jones and by his sister, Lisa Jones.

Survivors include his daughter, Kaley Jones, Blackshear; two sons, Dalton Jones and Kaden Jones, both of Blackshear; his parents, Charles and Linda Jones, Valdosta and Theresa Roney Jones, Blackshear; a grandson, Gabe Mullins and several other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, from the Waters Cemetery.

Due to COVID-19 and the effect it has had on this family, social distancing guidelines as well as the use of facemasks is strongly encouraged.  The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time and completely understand if friends and relatives would rather not pay their respects in person.
