Bobby Earl Boatright

Bobby Earl Boatright, 67, of Bristol, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020, at Harborview – Pierce County.

Born in Waycross, June 18, 1953, he had lived in Pierce County all of his life. He was a 1971 graduate of Patterson High School and had worked for CSX Transportation for eight years. He was a big NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan as well as a big Georgia Bulldog fan. He dearly loved his family and spending time with them and enjoyed listening to Christian music and 1950s music. He was a member of Bristol Baptist Church.   

He was a son of the late Earl T. and Lula Mae David Boatright. He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Earl Boatright Jr., Robert Boatright, Kenneth “Runt” Boatright, Sam Boatright and Joe Pete Boatright.

Survivors include his sisters, Bonnie Ham, Myrtle Beach, SC, Wannie and Talmadge Metts, Bristol, Shelia and Cebie Smith and Judy and Leon Allen, all of Alma and Paula Quinn, Lake Placid, FL; a brother, Mack and Debbie Boatright, Blackshear; four sisters-in-law, Juanita Boatright, Bristol, Deloris Boatright, Blackshear, Janet Boatright, Myrtle Beach, SC and Sandra  and Cleve Henderson, Blackshear and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, August 6, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 6, from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.

Interment will be in the Carter’s Chapel Cemetery in Bacon County.

Due to COVID-19, social distancing and the use of face masks are strongly encouraged.
