Beth Walker Blythe

Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Walker Blythe, 51, of Blackshear, died Wednesday night, June 2, 2020, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, after a short illness. 

She was born in Waycross to the late Malcom Wesley and Nina Carmichael Walker. She lived in Blackshear all of her life where she was a 1986 graduate from Pierce County High School. She graduated from Valdosta State University in 1993 and was a teacher for 13 years at Pierce County High School. Most recently, she was the Broker and Owner of Innovation Land Solutions. She also helped her family on the farm. She was a member of the Hacklebarney Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Richard Blythe Jr., Blackshear; two sons, Ben Blythe and Walker Blythe, both of Blackshear; one sister, Carol Walker Mardirossian and her husband Zavain, Blackshear; two nephews, Michael Morris and his wife Hosanna, Blackshear and Chris Gonzales and his wife Heather and their children Gracelyn Harrell, Gannon Harrell, and Oaklie Gonzales, Blackshear; close family friend, Carol Gonzales, Blackshear and several other relatives.

Due to COVID-19, the family will have a private graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday, June 5, at Waters Cemetery.
