Bella Grace Bennett

Bella Grace Bennett, 5, of Blackshear, passed away early Monday morning, August 30, 2021, at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, from injuries sustained in an accident.

She was born September 14, 2015 in Brunswick and had lived most of her life in Blackshear. She was a kindergarten student at Blackshear Elementary School and loved school.

She also loved animals, especially horses. She loved pretending to be a cowgirl and wearing cowgirl boots. She enjoyed music and watching cartoons, but especially enjoyed playing with her older sister, Lylah.

Survivors include her mother, Bobbie Ann Bennett, Alto; her grandmother and poppy, Lorie Lee and Orlando Garcia, Blackshear; her grandfather, Bobby Bennett (wife Willa Jean), Douglas; two sisters, Kylie Beth Lachney, Port Arthur, TX and Lylah Sarah Medinahuerta, Blackshear; aunt, Melissa Smith, Waycross; three uncles, Frank Bennett (wife Darlene) and the Rev. George Bennett (wife Bethany, all of Douglas and Jeremiah Bennett of West Virginia; a special great-aunt, Cindy Morgan, Waycross and many cousins and other relatives.

Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, from the chapel of Hart Funeral Home with the Rev. George Bennett officiating.

Interment will follow in the Blackshear City Cemetery.
