In an effort to help keep the community informed on local endeavors to reduce the spread of coronavirus, The Blackshear Times is offering FREE access to news articles published on our website through the end of March. The e-edition will still be restricted to subscribers only.
“We want to do our part in keeping the local public informed and help reduce the spread of this virus,” says Times Publisher Matt Gardner.
Next month The Times will still offer free stories online, but on a limited bases – three free stories to each user per month. After accessing three stories, readers will be prompted to subscribe to The Times.
“As technological advancements continue at break-neck speed and new avenues for accessing news content online continue to emerge, we are always looking for ways to better serve our community. This is the first step in reaching that goal with other changes to come in the future,” says Times Publisher Matt Gardner.
The Times made the adjustment after hearing from online readers who requested access to full news stories without a pay wall block.
Once readers have accessed their third news story of the month, they’ll be prompted to either log in to their account or subscribe to read more local news.
