Patterson’s KaDee Strickland will be featured on the silver screen this holiday season in “Grand Isle”, an action, mystery thriller, starring Nicolas Cage and Kelsey Grammer.
The movie is set to debut in theaters across the country Friday, Dec. 6.
Strickland plays the neglected wife of Nicolas Cage’s character. The couple lure a young man (Luke Benward) into their Victorian style home to escape a hurricane.
When the man is charged with murder by Det. Jones (Kelsey Grammer), he must reveal the couple’s wicked secrets to save himself.
Strickland is well-known locally, having grown up in Patterson. She is the daughter of former Pierce County School Superintendent and head football Coach, Dr. W.D. Strickland and her mother, Susan, is a retired nurse and former nursing instructor at what is now Coastal Pines Technical College. Her sister, Mabry Williamson, and her brother, Dan Strickland, also live in Pierce County. K. Strickland and her husband, actor Jason Behr, have one son, Atticus.
Strickland began acting during her teenage years at Pierce County High School and has since gone on to a lead role in ABC’s television series Private Practice and in a number of Hollywood films including Oscar winning film American Gangster, Anything Else, Something’s Gotta Give, Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, The Grudge and Fever Pitch.
