Jimmy Buffett tribute band, A1A, to perform at 2nd annual Beats & Eats
Beats and Eats, an evening of fun, music and good food, will be held this Friday, May 3, in the Blackshear City Park.
Better Hometown/Main Street Blackshear will host the second annual Beats & Eats featuring A1A, the original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band, from 6 p.m. - 11 p.m.
Food trucks and vendors will start serving at 6 p.m. and the concert will begin at sundown.
Vendors scheduled to attend Beats & Eats so far include Mookies Cookies, Boss Dawg, Pop’s BBQ, Bleax Balls, Showtime Concessions, Poppy’s Kettle Corn and Pete’s Snack Shack. More food trucks are likely to reserve a spot for the event as it nears.
There is no admission charge for Beats & Eats, but locals can reserve a table now for $100 via Main Street Blackshear’s Facebook page or by calling Better Hometown Manager Bethany Strickland at (912) 590-2200.
Since the early ‘90s, A1A has been internationally recognized for their Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show, and the group has been sanctioned by Buffett himself.
A1A performs as a seven piece band, complete with audio and light production for a thrilling show. Folks can expect to hear all of their Jimmy Buffett favorites, classic Reggae and some original A1A Trop Rock music.
The first annual Beats & Eats held last May was the successor to Blackshear’s Summer in the City celebrations.
Better Hometown Blackshear secures business and corporate sponsors for the evening of food and music.
